The Landis & Gyr Foundation is pleased to announce its annual call for applications for artist grants, travel grants and residencies. Starting on 1 December 2024, artists and cultural professionals with Swiss citizenship are invited to apply, as are non-Swiss artists and cultural professionals whose official residence is in Switzerland.
Ten 2025 artist grants (CHF 30’000 each) are awarded to cultural professionals in the disciplines of literature, composition, dance, theatre and visual arts. The grants are presented exclusively to solo artists or duos who are working on, or have plans to work on, a specific project in the year the grant is awarded.
The 2026 travel grants offer cultural professionals the opportunity to access new networks, conduct research for current or future projects, realize concrete plans or develop ideas for new undertakings in East-Central and Southeast Europe. Grant recipients have the freedom to choose when, within the grant year, they will travel, arranging the times individually
in accordance with their professional and family responsibilities. The travel grants are open to applicants from the disciplines of literature / translation, composition, cultural criticism, dance, theatre and visual arts.
The 2026/2027 residencies in the studios located in Budapest, Bucharest, Sofia and London are awarded for literature / translation, composition, cultural criticism, dance, theatre and visual arts. To promote a healthy work-family balance, the calls for the studios in Budapest and Sofia address family issues: potential grant recipients with children have the option
of applying for a family allowance. For the studio in Zug, Swiss authors and translators are once again invited to apply for a residency.
The application period runs from 1 December 2024 to 31 January 2025.
